It is unfortunate the number of website owners haven't any image of what BLACK HAT SEO actually is.  This false impression is repeatedly passed down by their webmasters.  A great number who are ill informed regularly have two chief mistakes in their belief about blackhat seo.

  • White Hat Techniques are ethical but Black Hat Techniques aren't.  FALSE!
  • Black Hat Methods are probably against the law, and that there is a small chance that White Hat techniques are criminal also!  FALSE!

When using blackhat SEO, the content on a page and links equally on and to a page are developed for search engines to observe and are unreadable by humans.   This practice is outdated.  Google's bot can discover most cloaking used currently and using this out-of-date technique can get your website sandboxed.

Admittedly, there are ways of automating content but this content is not cloaked or veiled from the Google bot.  Now White Hat SEO people will have you think that this method is functional only for search engines.  False.  The truth is Webmasters want people to visit to their websites.  Some of the generated content is targeted towards keywords and phrases.  If a person looks for a individual keyword they could click on the content (in a blog for example), you have produced.   But you want them to read the content and to procure your product or services.

Some White Hat SEO people say that, when using white hat strategies, the content and links are intended for both humans and search engines to observe. This means they should be at least coherent. The mistake that many white hat practitioners make is to produce visible yet ugly pages that don't read well, and therefore don't convert well.  Does not signify they are utilizing BlackHat SEO when they write bad content?

Note that Black Hat SEO if often done on Web 2.0 properties and that links from those properties go to the main website. Most Black Hat SEO webmasters never put their website in harms way!

Some see Black Hat SEO as being at WAR with Google.  Clearly that is correct to some extent.  If you possess a business don't you would like to advertise it in order to earn money.  Certainly plus it is the same way with advertising on the internet.  The trouble is getting your website or product seen by Google.  You have to aggressive in your marketing methods on the internet currently.  This is chiefly factual now that Google has altered its algorithm.  You require a much more aggressive maketing campaign at the moment otherwise you will have to “compensate” Google to market for you by way of its adwords!

I have observed White Hatters say that the white hat approach is either to ignore search engines totally, or to think of search engines in a friendly way.  Yes and if they in fact reason like that they've their heads buried in the sand.

Now let's observe at the White Hat World yet again.  They declare that there is a misunderstanding that white hat practitioners strictly follow search engine rules and they do not.  They go further to declare that they often don't read the Terms of Service for Google and they regularly set a robots text files on their websites.  Additionally, they apply meta tags; and free and paid submission when appropriate.  What they fail to state is that they will use automated software that bypasses captcha codes.  And widespread thought is that using this kind of software is Black Hat SEO.

White Hatters claim that there exists at all times a risk that a site will by accident or on purpose be deleted from a search engine's index.  They go further to state that Black Hat techniques will always amplify the threat that a site will be purposely removed from a search engine's index.  Good scare technique however this is very wrong.  If I make use of an automated bookmark bot to submit my blog to, there is no way Google can or will sandbox me.  These are false assertions propagated by White Hat SEO people.  More often than not these companies use all types of automated software themselves.  Admittedly, there are actually black hat methods if not done properly will place your website in harms way.

White hat promoters argue they they frequently work with their client's key domain only.   They may put forward a pledge that the domain won't be deliberately removed from a search engine's index as a consequence of incorporating their procedures. On the other hand, what about utilizing blogs from blogging sites like Ning, Blogger and Wordpress for instance to promote your website.  How about building those blogs up as well as linking them to your website.  Is that Blackhat?  Of course not.  White Hat SEO people hold their very own vested interests putting forth such rubbish.  They want to scare newbies into doing business with them.

More and more people are educating themselves on the subject of Black Hat SEO.  If you are not able to come up with the money for Google Ads or employing a White Hat SEO person to do your work some Black Hat techniques could be used.  Always remember that moderation is the key.  Even Black Hat SEO has rules of engagement when it relates to battling Google.

Wikipedia describes search engine optimization (SEO) as the practice of improving the number or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "normal" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Take note of the phrase "paid inclusion."  What they are referring to is "buying links and so on."  This is a novel comment.  If you pay cash for Google ads for your website is that not a "paid inclusion?"  If you pay to be in the Yahoo directory is that a "paid inclusion?"  Google is similar a mom and dad informing their child don't do what I do, do as I say!

It has been alleged that Blackhat SEO is equally a fabrication and a reality.  Anyone doing SEO will have to deal with this method at some point.  Not to face the Blackhat SEO approach is to exist in denial.  The BH procedures of today in the present day are the gray and white hat techniques of tomorrow. It's an essential truth; innovations frequently occur within the Blackhat community of SEOs.  These techniques are studied, personalized, and finally received into conventional SEO.

It has been said many times  that you should know with SEO to be familiar with how Google's algorithm can be exploited.

This is a good thing for several reasons but for the majority it is main for two reasons:

1.  You can acquire a reliable appreciation of your competition and how they get the "edge" on Google.

2.  You get information and procedures you can make use of to advance in the Google search engine.

We are all aware that knowledge is power.  What allot of people do not understand is that most Blackhat techniques are not Blackhat at all!  Blackhat is like a double edged sword.

Some believe that Blackhat SEO is for the feeble.  They go to say Blackhatters are individuals you can't win the game and have to resolve to cheating. In my estimation, even if you don't want to make use of what some call Blackhat SEO to advance your website it is beneficial know  your competition and what they are doing.  That's only common sense.

A number of White Hat purists go as far as claiming that purchasing aged domains that are expired is Blackhat SEO.  In a respectable business model buying old domains and reviving them makes perfect sense.  The age of the domain is important in Google's algorithm so you have a head start on your competition.  And what is the distinction if I want to sell my domain to somebody?  Going further, is Microsoft's Bing doing Blackhat by buying data and content from Yahoo?  All this begs the question; who makes the rules on the Internet?

Fake news reports are often seen as Blackhat.  From a marketing strategy they are seen as brilliant.  This technique is done everyday by the media but it is never referred to as Blackhat!  Really, people throw around the term Blackhat SEO so much it has little meaning.

The BLACKHAT WORLD of SEO is so much more than hacking, rogue bots, keyword stuffing and so on.  In reality, hacking is not actually viewed as Blackhat by the Blackhat World.  The Blackhat World SEO is mostly concentrated on methods to advance a website or how to make cash online.

Google and Whitehat SEO people would have you believe that automating software to you in posting in your blogs for example is Black hat.  They are against any automated software devoted towards SEO.  Granted allot of software and scripts in the Black hat World has been made to make the most of Google.  However you just can't paint the Blackhat World SEO with a broad brush.  There are so many procedures you can draw on that can assist your website ranking well in Google that are not from the Dark Side of the BLACKHAT WORLD.

If you go to any website that offers freelancing you will find lots of Blackhat people from all over the world.  They offer to submit your website to thousands of directories for pennies.  They tell you that all of these submissions are completed by hand.  You must read between the lines with claims like this.

First, if you are foolish enough to fall for this, a thousand back links to your website will raise a gigantic red flag for Google if it is completed in a brief period of time. Secondly, your website will soar in the SERPs however you will fall hard coming downward in a exceptionally short time.  And, when you take a good peek at your links and you will realize they are from a paid directory and your anchor text is non existent.  This is the kind of practice I dub Blackhat.

Conversely, if you find an honest person to do this, who took time to come across quality back links for you and did this over a month, then I would call it White Hat.  The aim is use automated SEO software with moderation so your results seem to be organic or naturally produced.  Don't get greedy or stupid.

Here is one final illustration of automating software for twitter for scheduling and repeating tweets.  Automatically tweeting RSS feeds from yours or other blogs is all right as long as the Twitter account has a bona fide person attending it who tweets manually, as well.  Again, moderation is the key to making it look organic and natural.

Here is a assertion by White Hat people who have bags of money for Google ads and have no knowledge of the extreme competition on the Internet nowadays.  "If your content is worth a damn you won't need to trick readers or bots with fake substance.  I invested time into the content and usability of my site and it's returned a 350% jump in my traffic last year. I'm getting links you can't begin to fake or even buy.  Make sites for people, not search engines."

This is great stuff for your "arm chair philosopher."  Fact is that you are competing against various Blackhat SEO savvy people who can have their site indexed in 3 days and have a position on the first page of Google in just 4 days! And the odd thing is most are not using Blackhat SEO to do this.  If you want to compete these days on the Internet and you want to be noticeable, you need to know the cutting edge of SEO.  You have to understand what new and novel ways the BLACKHAT WORLD is doing in terms of SEO
